Is the desire of your heart that Jesus Christ be the Lord of your life?
1. Realize that God loves you and wants to give
you peace and an abundant life. John 3:16 tells us “for God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal
life.” Do you want peace and eternal
life?
2. Admit that while God created you in His image, you have willingly chosen
to disobey, to not allow Him to be in charge of your life and to give you the
gift He has for you in Jesus. The Bible tells us, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans
3:23) Sin (disobedience) separates you
from God.
3. Know that because God loves you so
much He |
| makes a way for you to be in right relationship to Him through
Jesus. The Bible tells us, “God
demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us.” (Romans 5:8) Jesus died on
the cross to forgive all your sins and makes things right with God, so that you
can be at peace.
4. Receive into your life all that
God has done for you in Jesus. To do
that you must make a decision. The Bible
says, “If you confess with your mouth
that, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the
dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9) Jesus
IS Lord, but He is not your personal Lord and Savior until you accept or
receive Him into your life. To do that:
- Admit your need for God
- Be willing to turn from your sin
- Believe Jesus died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave
- Invite Jesus to come into your heart and life
SALVATION PRAYER
Dear God in Heaven,
I know that I am a sinner, and am
sorry for my sins and need Your forgiveness. I believe Your only Son, Jesus, died on the cross to forgive my sins and
I now turn from them. I confess Jesus as
the Lord of my life and believe You raised Him from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my
personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved, put in right
relationship to You, given peace and life abundant and eternal. Thank you, Jesus, for Your love for me.
Lord, transform my life so that I may bring
glory and honor to You. Amen.
